kerning
In typesetting the removal of (white) space between pairs of letters that would otherwise appear to have too much space between them.

key code (key)
A group of letters and/or numbers, colors, or other markings used to measure responses from specific ads usually to determine the effectiveness of media, lists, advertisements, offers, etc.

key line
Indicates shape, position, or size for elements such as halftones, line sketches, etc.

kilobyte
One thousand bytes, actually 1024 bytes.

known virus
Any virus that SAM can detect and identify by name.
